# Admission record: G5 (Spell 110 in the Papyrus of Nebseni, with Spell 109 in Nu)

Package: Astra, bod-world-sources-v3.1.zip, 2026-10-07. Archive SHA-256 e269f010e0f63e64fa114c38b78fefc7f1e1d9ea95eceedef4c7e06f0b9056f4 (matches the supplied checksum). Manifest: 23 of 23 files verified.

Statements: 72 (110 62, 109-context 10); by status 44 single-witness, 19 contested, 9 agreed. Every status is Astra's and unchanged. The forty place and name records and the twenty vignette items of the package are reference aids, not statements, and were used only to read the statements.

The Spell 110 in Budge's 1898 English volume is the Papyrus of Nebseni's (British Museum 9900, sheet 17), not Nu's; Nu's adjacent Spell 109 (sheet 12) carries the field's crop figures, which in Budge are the ones already admitted from Spell 149's second Aat, while the 1904 readings differ between Renouf's 109 and Naville's second Aat (wheat stalk 4 against 5; the glorified ones 9 against 7 then 9). Nothing in the package licenses the model's island breadth or river width; both stay invention.

A fresh second check of the admission (a separate agent reading the sources) found twelve points, all taken: the overclaim above, one statement classed as drawn when Ani's own feature draws it, the ledger's date, the oars of Tchetetfet split by side in the model, and wording, citation and page details.

## Checks before admission

- Facsimile. The eight pages of evidence/Budge1898-II-G5-facsimile.pdf (printed pp. 169 to 176) were read page by page against the transcriptions: the Nu attribution of Spell 109 (sheet 12) and its wheat, barley and reaper figures; the Nebseni attribution of Spell 110 (sheet 17); the sixteen vignette items with the bracketed [measures] and the length of heaven; Budge's description of Ani's vignette with its seven cubits, three cubits, eight oars and two boat names; the Hawk of one thousand cubits by two thousand [cubits in width]; the two Lake of double Fire clauses; the section and pool notes on pp. 174 to 176.
- Renouf and Naville 1904. RN1904 quotations: 28; found verbatim: 28; on the cited page: 28. Renouf's inline note numbers, which the package keeps in its quotations, were removed before matching.
- Budge 1895, the Papyrus of Ani. B1895-Ani quotations: 8; in the study corpus: 4; in the 1895 text layer verbatim: 3, with the OCR's misreadings allowed: 0, by a fragment only: 3; on the cited page: 6 of 6. By quotation: G5-110-ANI-RIVER-LENGTH corpus | not found | p. null (claimed 364); G5-110-ANI-RIVER-WIDTH corpus | not found | p. null (claimed 364); G5-110-ANI-KHUS-HEIGHT | text layer | p. 365; G5-110-ANI-WHEAT-HEIGHT | text layer | p. 365; G5-110-ANI-OARS corpus | text layer, fragment only | p. 365; G5-110-ANI-BOAT-ENDS corpus | text layer, fragment only | p. 365; G5-110-ANI-ASHET | text layer, fragment only | p. 365; G5-110-ANI-BIRTHPLACE | text layer | p. 365. A fragment match means the OCR of the text layer breaks the sentence (it reads "dshet" for "ashet", and spaces its quotation marks); the page is that of the fragment. The notes to the vignette were located in the same text layer: "The river is" p. 364; "one thousand [cubits]" p. 364; "In the Nebseni papyrus they are called" p. 364; "Instead of three, the Nebseni papyrus has four ovals" p. 364; "A boat of eight oars, each end" p. 365; "flood (?) of [heaven]" p. 365; "Their length is cubits seven the wheat cubits three" p. 365; "Nebseni papyrus four gods dwell on this island" p. 365; "is not marked in the Ani papyrus" p. 365.
- The errata addendum for v2.1: archive SHA-256 9ebad40854be81a8785b21042722f8d6087c1caad8be89445b6450ea58b7217d (matches its checksum), manifest 4 of 4; it restates 2 corrections (G3-144-THREE-ROLES: Aken-tau-keha-kheru -> Aken-tau-k-ha-kheru; G3-147-02-HEADS: 259 -> 258); the accepted v2.1 archive is unchanged. The addendum restates the two corrections already in sources/G2-G4-review.md; nothing was applied from it.
- Not done here: no Egyptian text was read; no copyrighted modern translation was consulted; the printed 1895 and 1904 pages were not inspected beyond their transcriptions.

## Decisions by class

- **overlay** (10): drawn in the witness overlay south of Ani's islands, with its label (sizes invented)
- **already** (25): already modelled from Ani's own text or Budge's 1895 description; the witness adds its citation
- **card** (35): evidence-card text only: utterances, names, similes and readings that fix no geometry
- **label** (2): carried as text on a label in the model

Statuses follow the ledger's rule: A feature that gathers several statements takes the weakest status among them: contested if any is contested, otherwise single-witness if any is, otherwise agreed; where a feature's own text records a differing reading that no numbered statement covers, it is contested and says so. Its text names the parts that differ. Checked for 14 features carrying G5 statements; all conform.

## Open after this part

- The Egyptian unit behind the river's bracketed [cubits] (Ani) and [measures] (Nebseni): Budge supplies both; nothing is converted.
- A Spell 110 in the Papyrus of Nu: Budge's 1898 volume gives Nebseni's; whether Nu has one was not sought beyond that volume.
- Renouf's Spell 109 wheat of 7 cubits against his parts 2 and 4: kept as printed, not reconciled; Budge's 5 is 2 and 3.
- The same-author discrepancies on Ani's vignette (Ashet as region or stream; the birth-place marked or not) between Budge 1895 and 1898.
- The illegible names of Nebseni's two last pools, the uncertain Kha (?), and the corrupt passages Renouf marks (the stream of T'eserit, the omitted lines of p. 194).
- No "lake of the uraei" was found in Spell 110; the Lake of Fire (G6) remains open.
